It's a little hard only because you will have to find or order documents!. If you live with them ask them or look for documents that will give you clues!. Talk to other relatives, like Aunts and Uncles and they will have your grandparents information!.

Look for birth certificates, babtismal records, school records like report cards, death certificates, obituaries!.

If you can't ask your relatives or parents, you will have to start where they started, as in where they were born!. Contact the courthouse for that area and see if they will tell you the parents names on your mothers/fathers birth certificate!.

Try www!.genforum!.com and put in your dad's last name or your mom's maiden name!. See if anyone is researching this family by posting a detailed message!.

www!.ancestry!.com is worth a try as Texas and California, plus some other states have many of these documents online, even for our generations!. I think it's possible to do a search without a subscription and you will get a list of results but you can't click on them!. Most of the time the results list will have enough information to get you going again, without going into the record!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's where it all starts!. Using your Parent's Birth Certificates you can find out, who their parents were!. also their Wedding Certificates!.
If your Grandparents are still living, ask for theirs too, and once you find your Great Grandparents, and where they were born, you can go from there!.
If they were from the United Kingdom, Say Scotland or England, you can visit their web sites for more information!. They have most of that information on their web sites!.There is a charge for searching and also some charges if you want copies of Death, Wedding and Birth Certificates!.
So you need to find out, your Ancestors country of origin and go from there!. Your own surname, should give you a good start!. Just knowing if it's British, German, or Italian say!. It's fun searching out, so check with family, cousins etc, to see if anyone, has done any research all ready!.
Check Ancestor!.com or the Mormon's in Salt Lake City, for more information on how to trace your Ancestry!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
