My 17th great grandfather on one line is Chief Powhatan!. My 22nd great-grandfather on another line is King Edward III of England, and of course all his ancestors before him!. My 10th great grandfather on one line is William Byrd, who was the founder of my hometown, Richmond Virginia!. Another 10th great grandfather on another line is Peter Jones, for whom Petersburg, Virginia is named after!. My 2nd cousin 4x removed on one line is outlaw Sam Bass!. My 9th cousin is Sam Walton, founder of Walmart!. There are a number of others that I cannot recall off the top of my head right now without looking at my research!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My MTDNA (female) states that Katy Curic is related and that we descend from Margaret, one of the 7 daughters of Eve!.

For non DNA, Sam Houston, governer of Texas was married to my great something grandmothers sister (indian maiden Tiana Vann)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My grandmother was babe Ruth's cousin!. I also appear to be a descendant of Henry the first and katherine de Valois (his mother)!. Found that out through genealogy research, but that far back it's virtually impossible to verify!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well he's not exactly famous according to today's standards, but I am related to Sam Houston (the guy that defended the Alamo)!. On my mom's side! She's from Texas!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
