Question: What is the meaning of the name 'Zamfir'!?

I tried googling it up, but as you can probably guess, all the results were on Gheorghe Zamfir!. While he is actually the namesake, I am looking to know the meaning and possibly some history!. Any help would be appreciated!Www@QuestionHome@Com
