Question: Why are many Caucasian people blonds as babies!?

Not a racist question, I'm just curious!. I noticed that a lot of people that have dark brown hair had blond hair when they were younger!. Why is that!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Blond (also spelled blonde, see below) or fair-haired is a hair color characterized by low levels of the dark pigment eumelanin!. The resultant visible hue depends on various factors, but always has some sort of yellowish color, going from the very pale blond caused by a patchy, scarce distribution of pigment, to reddish "strawberry" blond colors or golden-brownish blond colors, the latter with more eumelanin!.

Blonde hair is common in Caucasian infants and children, so much so that the term "baby blonde" is often used for very light-colored hair!. Babies may be born with blonde hair even among groups where adults rarely have blonde hair,[27] although such natal hair usually falls out quickly!. Babies pigments aren't completely formed when they are born!.

So later, their hair turns brown, they get freckles and their skins turns more brown or pink or whatever!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not sure but mine has done the exact same thing!. My guess would be the same reason a persons hair turns gray!. Hormones!? Because I've noticed the change in color often happens around the age of puberty!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
