Question: Anyone have anything on a Richard Hogan of Medina OH!?
He lived in Medina, OH in the 1840s and was a civil war veteran!. I have everything about him except where he was born!. The census from that period says Kup, Ireland, Yet no one has ever found that city or county in Ireland!. He was married to Alice Hayes, who died in childbirth!. They had a son Lawrence who was adopted by his grandparents on Alice's side and took their family name!. Richard left them and later married Mary O'Safler and had several children by her !. Any info Richard Hogan's ancestors would be appreciated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If I were you I'd start looking on the Ellis Island records and other immigration sites!. In the 1920 US Census it indicates that Richard Hogan immigrated in 1855 and became a citizen in 1865!. This at least gives you a time frame!. Since he was born in August 1844 he would have been a child when he immigrated so the ship manifest would have his parents names and sibling names on it as well where the family came from!.

Have you considered going to a genealogy site where they keep information like this rather than just asking a bunch of strangers on the Internet who have nothing to offer!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
