How do you believe he spelled his first name!? Some sources say "Wintworth", but I believe it is "Wentworth"!. I think what some people are mistaking for a "dot" over the "i" is just an ink splatter or something!. (I don't have access to the original document!.)
Please check out the scan for yourself and offer your opinion on how I should spell his name!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wentworth!.

The "dot" over the "i" is actually part of the elaborate capital "W"!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is most definitely Wentworth!. The dot over the eye that some people are tending to see is actually a part of the manuscript in the W!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that it clearly looks like "Wentworth!." There is no dot over that "e"; the "W", when written in script, has a loop on each side (we type & print so often now that we often leave it off)!. WentworthWww@QuestionHome@Com

It,s defenently an e take a look at his last name spelling the ie that are together you will then see for your self it is an e see the loop!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That "Dot" over the first syllable is a flourish atop one leg of the W !.!.!. WENTWORTH is the name !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. I have been a practicing Graphoanalyst for fifty years !.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
