1!. What do you do for fun or enjoyment!?
I go to the pub alot, like to play with the grandchildren!. I try to live life to the full as much as i can!.

2!. What is your favorite television show!? Why!?
I've been dragged into watching reality tv shows by my children and grandchildren, and amazingly i am starting to like them!. I enjoy The Biggest Loser and Idol!.

3!. What kind of work have you done in your lifetime!? Was it difficult for you to retire!? If so why!?
Retiring late was something i will never regret!. I was in the airforce, and then worked as a miner, eventually climbing the ladder to become general manager of a successful mining business!. I worked till i was in my mid 60's!.

4!. What is a favorite memory you have of a specific Christmas holiday season!?
Going to Canary Islands with my family when i would have been 12 or 13!.

5!. What celebrity/public figure/or athlete did you admire or idolize as a youth!? Why!?
Tommy Kirk whilst i was younger!.

6!. When you were of high school age, what kind of music was popular!? Do you remember one of your favorite songs!?
The kind of music we liked is now dated and old fashioned!. I loved Miles Davis!. I can't remember the song i liked!

7!. What makes you different or unique from other individuals your age!?
I think we are all very similar!. We've all had different experiences through life, but we are all linked through our age and experience!. I don't think i am particularly different to anyone else my age!.

8!. What are some faulty assumptions that people often make about senior citizens that irritates you!?
That we are all angry!. My son is always telling me to 'stop and listen', and it is a misconception that we are all grumpy and old!. Oldies can have fun too!

9!. We live in a world that seems to be constantly changing!. In your lifetime, what changes have you seen that have been positive!? What changes do you see as being negative!?
Of course, technology has made a massive impact on my children's and grandchildren's lives!. I feel that alot of younger people these days want everything to be handed to them on a platter and that noone wants to do the hard yards and work for something!.

10!. If you could make one single change in the world as it is today, what would it be!?
Better public toilets!.!.!. (this was a stab at humour!.!.!.he laughed really loud after saying it!.!.!)

1!. Canal boating (I have my own boat) and use it most weeks during Spring, Summer, Autumn!.
Computer, Gardening, travel
2!. Re-enactments of classical literature (Jane Austen, etc), silly comedy (e!.g!. My Family), but generally television bores me!.
3!. I wanted to go to a P!.E!.College, but my father decided that I should learn Secretarial skills; he said "you will never be without a job if you can type"!. I became a Secretary to a an Executive in a very large Organisation, When we had our a little girl, I did part-time work for a Typing Agency and eventually offered a job as a P!.A!. to a Headmaster of a Public School!. Changed direction and became an unqualified Social Work Assistant - sent to College by my employers to become a qualified Social Worker specialising in working with older people and people with disabilities!. Became a Care Manager in a General Hospital!. I loved the job, my colleagues and patients, but became more and more frustrated with red tape!. So retirement was a mixed blessing!.

6!. Sentimental love songs, e!.g!. Three Coins in a Fountain!. First record bought - The Dam Busters March, then Rock Around the Clock
7!. We are all unique, my dear!
8!. Not irritates, but amuses!. That we are physically and mentally impaired and that life after 50 is "old" and isn't worth living!.
9!. So many - impossible to list!. I was born before the last War!. Positive -Perhaps technology and medicine!. Negative - Superficiality, but that has probably always been there!.
10!. Total peace!. We could accomplish so much if we could all work together for the common good, not for political nor personal gain!.
