Question: How do I get a copy of an ancestor's CDIB (Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood)!?
My grandfather was an enrolled Cherokee with a CDIB, but when he died, no one had copies of his records!. I am trying to gather documents to get my own CDIB so I can be officially registered and become more involved with my tribe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do it the easy way!. Get a copy of his death certificate and contact the tribal office for a copy of his records so that you can have his lineage card in submitting your own application!. Otherwise, you have to do all the research all over again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
