It is very hard to work with Ancestry if you are just starting!. State Libraries (and some local libraries) have a genealogical section where you can get help!. In Victoria I would suggest the Genealogical Society of Victoria in the city or the Australian Institute of Genealogical Studies next to Blackburn Station!. also have a look at www!.rootsweb!.com and join a mailing list for the area your family comes from!. There are lots! You could look on www!.familysearch!.org which is free and where you can download a free family tree program called PAF to enter your information!. You could also look on http://www!.genuki!.org!.uk/ which has pages of free help for new genealogists!. But, be careful!. This hobby is addictive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I found most of my information through a sixth cousin I found on Genes reunited!. I uploaded all the information I already knew, then found birth records of my great grandparents, then added that to the tree, then I found a common ancestor in this guy's tree, that gave me information back to the 1700s!.

Alternatively, good sites are -

www!.familysearch!.org
www!.freebmd!.org!.uk
www!.ancestry!.co!.uk

But please take things with a pinch of salt, as a lot of it depends on researchers' interpretations of records!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well if your ancestors are all from there you can go to ancestry!.com and you should beable to find something there!. Under england!. or Uk something like that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You could try www!.ancestry!.co!.uk it's an excellent site and they have a pay per View system now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
