Both of us were between spouses!. He was on leave (US Navy), visiting his cousins!. We had 1 date, lived "in sin" for 4 years and have been married for 35 years!. He was a Petty Officer First Class, Boatswain's Mate!. He retired as a Master Chief, with 30 years of honorable service, two-time recipient of the Navy Medal of Achievement!. Our first home was a 12x60, 2 bedroom, 2 bath mobile home, with a leaky roof!. We were so poor, we had to budget our money, in order to buy one 2- liter bottle of Coca Cola on Saturday!. We could only afford 1 trip per month to McDonald's, which was a very special treat for the 4 of us!. Our fare consisted of 4 Big Mac's, 4 orders of small fries and 4 small drinks, for less than $5!.00, total!. We now live in 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 2-story home, complete with finished basement, on lake front property in Florida!. Life is so much better when the roof does not leak!
