Question: Does any one know where the last name Dreke comes from!?

Does any one know where the last name Dreke originates from, I've been looking, and looking and It's impossible to find any information, and I'd reallllllllllllllllly like to know!.!.!.!.!. And No it's not "DRAKE", it's "DREKE", and no it isn't a misspelling!.!.!.!.!.

I'll bet it was a mispelling of Drake maybe 200 or so years ago!.

The fact that you cannot find anything seems to support that theory!.

I have the name BUSSON in my family back in the 1600s!. During the 1700s it became Burson and then Burston!.

Mispellings in the 1700s amnd early 1800s (before spellings became standardized) were very common!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it's definitely a cognate!. could be dreck, or it might be drake!. sounds scandinavian!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
