Well you can't remove the genes that make you exist!. So yeah, but it's small!.

If no more was added:

Great Great Great Grandparent - 100%
Great Great Grandparent - 1/2
Great Grandparent - 1/4
Grandparent - 1/8
Parent - 1/16
You - 1/32Www@QuestionHome@Com

You are one thirtyseconth Blackfoot!. If you are interested in that part of your heritage then by all means claim it, within reason!. You are a person with some distant native ancestry!. Usually when people describe themselves as part native, they mean it's close enough in the family line that they have directly or indirectly suffered the effects of discrimination because of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To the one who said you were 1/16th, that is NOT true!. You WOULD be 1/16th if she was 100% Blackfoot!. But since she was only half, that means you are 1/32, which is 3!.125%!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That makes you 1/16th Blackfoot Indian!. I don't know what the requirements are for benefits for Native Americans, although I suspect they require more than that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
