Hi, I have ancestry and am searching for you now!.!.!.
It looks like they were in Polksville, Hall County, GA in 1900!.!.!. Lumpkin stumped me for a while! Annie was widowed, and 9 of her 11 children were still living!.

edit-
Obviously no 1890 Census record will come up for me, and since he was born in 1885 he's not available in the 1880 Census either, of course!.

I may have found his WWI draft registration record, dated September 12 of 1918 in Hall County!. It lists Edmond Carl Porter's birthday as May 7, 1885, and his nearest relative as Mary L!. Porter (please let me know if you need an electronic copy, I'd need an actual email address in order to attach the image)!.

Otherwise, nothing is coming up for him!.!.!.

I am guessing that his mother must have been a Whisenant, who would have married a Porter!. Looking at the Whisenants in Hall County in 1880, I see there are only two households of people with that surname, and neither of them has an Annie (Edmond's grandmother's name)!. The Whisenant families in that county in 1880 are: Joseph, Francis, and Caroline!.!.!. and in the 2nd familiy there are Christopher ("Christerfer"), Jane, John, Olley, and Alice!. When I broaden my 1880 search for Whisenants in any county in Georgia, I get a total of 72 people listed!. When I look for Annie or Anne or Ann Whisenant anywhere in Georgia in 1880, I get zero results!.

Do you have any other names or locations that might be helpful in zeroing in on the right family!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The US 1890 census was lost to a fire!.!. and the first poster is trying to send you to a source for English records!.
I had not forgotten you!.!. I no longer have ancestry!.com open, so unable to follow up on other searches!. I apologize!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
