Now, understand, the Haplogroups are only based on your Y & Mitochondrial lines which are a minute part of your DNA!.

Most of your DNA is autosomal!. If you get back to your 6xgreat grandparents, you are directly descended from 510 individuals, barring any duplicates!. Of those 510, you get your Y DNA from only 8 and your Mitochondrial DNA from only 8 but you get you autosomal DNA from all 510!.

Presently, genealogy testing is very limited when trying to determine your ethnic heritage!. Y & Mitochondrial are valuable when matching yourself with other family trees!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have noticed that on Yahoo! answers in genealogy that folks think that they are "pure" German, British, Spanish, whatever!. No such thing!. The Sephardi are a part of modern-day Spain; centuries ago newer invaders fought against the older tribes!. Irregardless, if you have Spanish blood, you PROBABLY have Shepardi!. Meaning that you will arrive at Sephardi DNA through more than one haplogroup!.
I used www!.familytreedna!.com, which verifies that I have DNA from all over Europe including Separdi!. So, have a DNA test done and it will provide evidence for or against!. Of course, the drawback of DNA testing is that it is STRAIGHT-LINE DNA only; that is, the yDNA tests your father, his father, and his father and on back, the same with mtDNA for mother to mother!.
