Question: What do you think about the name Silas!?
Do you know someone with the name!? This is the only male baby name my husband and I agree on and I'm curious to see what others think!.

I say go for it! Especially since you and your husband both agree!
And it sounds like a fine, noble kind of name to me!. I've never met a Silas! I like Silas Alexander myself, but all of the possible names you provided sound absolutely fine!.

My paternal great-grandfather's name was Marcellus!.
His nickname was Silas, so it's always been very special to me!.
And, one of my favorite books is Silas Marner, by George Eliot!.
(I still have my copy from the mid-'60's, 12th grade English Lit!.)

The name was popular in rural England in the 18th and 19th centuries My wife's gret grandfather was Silas !.Silas Marner was a novel written about a rural wood cutter by , I think by George Elliot ( who was female ! ) !. Www@QuestionHome@Com
