There are 15 Utuk's listed in the
All England & Wales, Birth Index: 1984-2005!. This means either the child, the father, or the mother has the name Utuk!. The majority of them are in the London area, although there are 2 records in (Hatfield) Hertfords, and 1 record in (Hendon) Middlesex!. [They are likely living, so I will not post them here!.]

There are 8 Utuk's listed in the Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997 records!.

There is a Rev!. George Utuk in Milledgeville, Georgia [I came upon his name in an obituary, as the officiating pastor in a recent funeral]!.

In the Northwest Territory of Canada, I found a public record for a Utuk [dated 1998-1999] in the city of Arviat!.

In the U!.S!. Public Records, I found 129 listings for Utuk's - - in NJ, FL, TX, CA, MI, VA, MD, NY!.

This is my own personal "wild guess," but it appears the surname may have originated in Russia/Poland and in Alaska, and that people migrated from those two places!.

I hope that helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Deep in antiquity the seven demons of Sumeria (and later Babylonia and Assyria) were identifed with this constellation,URSA MAJOR!. Idpa (Fever), Namtar (Magician of the Underworld), UTUK (Spirit), Alal (Destroyer), Gigim (Spirit), Relal (Wicked Demon/Warrior) and lastly Uruku (Larvae)!. These were the great demons of the Middle East at that time!.These demons were associated with the archetypal seven heads of the Dragon!.

(So, it seems to me, the surname Utuk takes its name from a star in Ursa Major--Great Bear--and possibly considered a god in ancient Sumeria, Babylon, etc!. in the Middle East)
