Question: "BRACKETT" geneology information!?
I am trying to follow my dad's geneology on his father's side without their help and if this is AT ALL possible, I would like to try to find out as much as I can about their heritage!.
My dad's name was Richard Marlon Brackett (born June 13, 1961, died May 29, 2001 *Two weeks before his 40th birthday)!. He had two brothers, Thomas Howard Brackett, Jr (diseased, I think in 2005), and Michael Brackett!. Michael Brackett is still living, lives in Texas with his wife Lana, and was the middle child, I don't know his age!. My dad was the baby!. Their father is Thomas Howard Brackett who recently moved to Georgia!.
This is pretty much all the information I have except for my dad's mother's side!.!.!. and I have access to that information!.
What I am most interested in is finding the heritage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lana's last name is Hyman
Thomas Jr was b!. 12/22/1957 and died 3/9/2006 in Lampassas Co, TX and his SS card was issued in TN
He was married to Traci N Hyman, (a sister of Lana!?)!. She was born 1972 so was much younger than Thomas!. He also was married to Jane L Bainbridge!.

Without your grandfather's place of birth it's hard to track further, especially since he lived in the Temple/Killeen area and might have lived there because he was prior military!. There was a Thomas Howard Barrett in Dallas but he died 1951!. Give a call to your grandfather and ask ask ask!. If he lives in Dade, GA call him at 706-462-2553!. There's other Thomas Brackett's in GA so this might not be him!. Get on one of the internet phone pages, such as whitepages and look his phone number up!.

Obituary was published 3/17/2006 in the Lampasas Dispatch Record!. There are many names listed in the obit!. You might consider contact the newspaper and ordering a copy of it!.

You need to contact your grandfather in Georgia and ask him what his parents' names were!. That way you can find them in the US Census of 1930 and 1920, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
If your dad was born in 1961, chances are HIS dad was 20 - 40 at the time, so he was born 1921 - 1941!.
His dad could have been anywhere from 16 - 80, though!. When he finally dies, you (or anyone else) can write for a copy of his SSN application and se ehis mother, father, birthplace, birthdate, plus his employer, occupation and address at the time!. It costs $27!.

Doris Rita Brackett, 9
Could that be your grandfather!? He is at the upper edge of the age range, but "Thomas Howard" isn't that common!. Chester is white, born in New Hampshire!. Given his name, his heritage is "Yankee", but Eliza might be Portugese, Italian, or another Yankee!. She could be a war bride from France or Germany, too!. Eliza's race doesn't show on the index!.
