Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The Normans were Vikings who landed in France; the part we call Normandy today!. Some of them stayed in France (General Charles De Gaulle was of Norman ancestry); some of them went to England in 1066 (The Norman Conquest)!. So today there are people of Norman descent in both France and England!.
Vikings went EVERYWHERE!. Originally Scandinavians (today's Norway and Sweden), they went as far as Russia (The very name Russia may have been for Rus -- a Viking people also called Varangians)!. They went to North Africa and Sicily (which is why you sometimes see tall blond, blue-eyed people in Sicily, and they went to Ireland!. The name of Ireland's Capital --Dublin -- is Viking! -- it means dark pool!. They settled in Iceland, and most historians and archaeologists believe that Viking navigators, by way of Iceland and outposts in Greenland, established settlements in North America as early as about 1000!. A 1964 National Geographic article details the 1963 discovery of a Viking settlement in the modern-day province of Newfoundland, Canada, near a fishing village named L'Anse au Meadow!. Vikings provided the Emperors of Byzantium with their bodyguard!.
Phoenicians were a seagoing Semitic people!. They had colonies in Cathage (included Hannibal the Great-- his name-ending--Baal-- was the Phoenician god!. See the Bible) and Sicily!. Their merchants ships brought the gift of writing to lands all over!. Today, DNA tests have shown that modern Lebanese are probably the descendants of the ancient Phoenicians!. A recnet "Nova" (PBS) program told the story of Phoenicians!.
Goths were an, ancient Teutonic people — the first Germanic peoples to become Christians!.
About 370 the Goths divided into two separate groups!. The Ostrogoths inhabited part of modern Ukraine and Belarus)!. The Visigoths were the western Goths, with a domain extending from the Dniester to the Danube rivers!. Today, the Spaniards of Asturias trace their ancestry back to the Visigoths!.
The Ostrogoths gradually became absorbed into other tribes, such as the Alani, Vandals, Franks, and Burgundians, who had established themselves in the dominions of the old Roman Empire!.
Saxons settled in Britain, where they were joined by the Angles and the Jutes!. They settled in Germany as well!. A great Saxon duchy came into existence under Franksh sovereigny, and its rulers established a dynasty of Germany kings in the 10th century!. This old duchy of Saxony was dissolved toward the end of the 12th century, and the name of Saxony later passed over to an entirely different region!. Many of today's Germans have Saxon blood!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe that the Saxons ended up mainly in England (when I say England I mean to include Wales, Scotland and Ireland)!. Vikings ended up in England, France, U!.S!., Canada, Greenland, (perhaps) the Carribean, Northern and Western Europe!. The Normans ended up in England and Western Europe and parts of Northern Europe!. The Phoenicians were pretty wiped out by war and natural disasters, but some spread out throughout the Mediterranean, Northern Africa, Eastern Asia and perhaps Southern Europe!. The Goths limited themselves to Europe with forays into Mediterranean states and Western Asian empires!. Hope this is helpful, but remember, trade took everyone everywhere, especially under the Romans!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay so:

-Normans-They come from 'Normandy' in north west France!.What really happened is that, the vikings from the Scandinavia started to move(spread out) and they went to Normandy in France!.From there they were called 'Normans'!.

-Vikings-Scandinavia

-Phoenicians-An ancient civilization centered in the north of ancient Canaan, with its heartland along the coastal regions of modern day Lebanon, Syria and Israel

Oh uh about Goths,I have no idea soory!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do you mean where are the descendants of Anglo-Saxons, etc!?
There are no modern day Vikings, for one!. Raiding small towns in dragons ships is no longer allowed!.

You can search on the history of these peoples and learn where they eventually settled, or what groups they evolved into!.

Let your kids do the search with you!.
A book my granddaughter likes is called Mapping World History which traces the development of civilization from the dawn of man to the 21st century!.

Good luck and have fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Paradox beat me to it!.!. that is what I was gonna say!. He IS right!.
What was, is now, US!. In one form or another!. If the Vikings were the forerunners of ocean travel!.!.!. then think the guys out there on the space station!.
Not a shameless plug for genealogy (maybe it is), when you trace your family back to even Colonial times, and you can put that line on paper for them to see!.!. they can maybe grasp that one of THEIR OWN REAL ANCESTORS fought in the Revolution!. If you can tell them an ancestor of theirs came from Germany, then they can connect with the idea of immigrants!.
I used to hate history, until realizing that parts of me were there!. If you are in the US, it can be hard!.!. "our" history is so short, compared with our friends in (say) the UK, who can find buildings maybe in their town, that go back 600 yrs!.
History can be hard for any kid, since they lack that sense of time past!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
