Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Most likely the name has been changed slightly in America, as it is only known as "Lehmenkühler" in Germany!. Its origin is a mountainous area in Westphalia, called Sauerland!. "Lehm" is meaning "loam", "Kühler" is referring to the word "Kuhle", which is "pit" in English!. The "Lehmenkühler" was a person who was living by a loam pit or working there, maybe as a brickmaker!. http://www!.verwandt!.de/karten/absolut/le!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
