*****My best guess that the name started as "Castillo," a Spanish name, and for some reason or another, the "y" got added to it!. It could have been in translation by a government official, or a number of other reasons!.

Why don't you go to ancestry!.com and go to the "community" tab, From there go to a group with the Castillo surname and ask the question!. Maybe somebody with the surname of Castillo can help you!. Perhaps somebody else from the Philippines is on the list and knows the answer!.

That is my best guess!. !. !. !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only way you can find the genealogy connected to your name is to research your families lineage yourself, you will not find it as a ready made package, unless you are lucky enough to find a relative who has already done a lot of the hard work !
