Most of us start with our grandparents and work backwards, generation by generation!. It is like putting together a jig-saw puzzle, except people don't fit exactly!. Mary Alice decides she will be Alice Mary, and the census enumerator spells her last name "Varnum" instead of "Barnum"!. If we didn't know she had three kids born in 1902, 1904 and 1906, named Alice, Bruce and Charles, and she lived in Union Township, Madison, Ohio all her life, we would not fit her 1910 census entry into the puzzle!.

If your father abandoned you before you were born, your mother put "Unknown scoundrel" on the birth certificate and died without giving you a clue, you will never find him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
