How to find my grandparents' nationalities?

Question: How to find my grandparents' nationalities!?

My mother was adopted, and has never had any interest in finding any information on her biological parents!. Would there be any way for me to find what nationalities my biological grandparents are!? It's hard to get any important information out of my mom like which city she was born in or which adoption agency she went through!. What other info would I need to get from her!? I'd just like to be able to say something more than "I'm half German, half unknown"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you may get a much better response and some much needed advice over in the *Adoption* forum!. We deal with dead ancestors in the genealogy forum, as we would be breaking the law by doing the kind of research you are asking about!.
