There was a James James in Darlington Co!., SC!. in 1800!. He could be the son of your James James!. The 1800 census only gives sex and ages of family!. There is no key for the census I found, so I will just give you the numbers!. /1/ / /1/ /2/ 1/ /1/ / /1/!. My guess would be that there is one small male child, one male (teenager!?), and two older males, One small female child, one female (teenager!?), and one older woman!. In 1810 there were two James James, one in Darlington Co!. and one in Chesterfield County, SC!. In 1820 there were three, one still in Darlington, and the others in Laurens & Marion Counties!. There are 10 in 1870 in SC!. In 1800 there was a John James listed in Charleston Co!., SC!. In 1810 he was in Charleston, Charleston Co!. if he is the same John James!. I found the census at Heritage quest!. If your library has a subscription, you can get a membership free!. Heritage Quest doesn't provide the 1850 census free!.
A James James served in the Revolutionary War!. He was born in 1748 in NC!. He also lived in Chesterfield, SC!. File # S7063!. also at Heritage Quest!.
