Under "Manage Your Tree" - at least in the American version of Ancestry, there is a button to export your tree - that is what you would use to export it from Ancestry to import to family tree maker!.

Export the file - in gedcom format to your desktop - and once finished there - open family tree maker and import it - after it's imported, save it with family tree maker to the location you want - and then you can delete the gedcom file off your desktop!. You'll then be able to easily upload the new tree anytime you want from family tree maker to Ancestry!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I use Ancestry and i dont think you can do that only import it!. The Genes reunited site lets you export and import!.
Edit: like another answers said if you go to the American site, !.com, you can but not the UK one thats why i couldnt help!!

Edit: found it!. Its right at the bottom of the home page on the UK site, they have moved it!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
