Question: Can someone pls direct me to a good Family Tree format or free software!?

I'm trying to record my family tree on a very simple Excel format at the moment but just wondering if there's someone else out there with a better format on Excel or another program!.

Genealogy programs have been around forever, both free and commercial!. Personal ancestral file (www!.familysearch!.org) is free from the LDS church (no religion or fee required), and is a standard in the field!.
I would ONLY suggest using your personal spread sheet if your intention is to never try sharing it with other relatives or networking!. All of the standard programs have gedcom (a generic format to transfer info between programs)!.
Much better to use something free and designed for this!.!. they've thought of the situations that will come as surprise to you!. You can even add photos!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

http://www!.myheritage!.com is a good free site with a program that allows you to download, view and change the tree on your computer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Genopro!.com is what we used in school!. It is a good program for making a genogram (or family tree)!. It's free too!Www@QuestionHome@Com
