There are two distinct schools of thought here:

1!. Look frantically for a an 'x' or other special marking around the house, then become astonished when something is lifted into a window at a certain time of day that creates the shadow/light in the shape of an 'x!.' Dig there!.

2!. Look for clues in paintings, old books, and if applicable, somekind of graveyard on property!. If there is an old, creepy, mentally ill person on the premises, then rock on!.

To really explore this without referencing awesome 80s movies: Find a layout of the property, if none available, then make one, and if there is one but doesn't detail the water lines/other stuff then carefully add that information, and update as necessary!. Go through the yard and probably much of the house (where applicable) with a metal detector, one of those sonar deals would help also to see into the walls!. Find out how to safely search every appliance (including the water heater)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
