Question: I need to find free census later than 1930!?

i am tryin to locate ancestors, i know there are places that charge some do not if u know of free places that will help i would be gratefulWww@QuestionHome@Com

Census records are not available on the internet after 1930 for any fee!. That information is considered private and confidential!. The 1940 US census will be available in 2012!.

I believe you can request specific information from the US Census Bureau but there are tight restrictions and there is a fee!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Access to census records is regulated by law, in an effort to protect personal information!. The "standard" in the US before release is 72 yrs; in the UK, 100 yrs!.
Between the present and 1930, you must use alternate sources!. Has nothing to do with free/ not free websites!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Here in the UK we are up to 1901 and our next census release is 2012, ours are closed for 100 years after the census was taken, because of the Data Protection Act!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
