The best resource for you would be the Red Cross' Holocaust and War Victims Tracing Center!. According to their mission:

"The American Red Cross Holocaust and War Victims Tracing Center accepts tracing requests concerning European civilians separated from their family due to the events of World War II and its aftermath, 1933-1957!."

You and your sister fit that definition!. I'd give them a try!. They have access to records (including orphanages and immigration records) that the rest of us can't access because of privacy laws!.!.!.and they're a completely free service!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
