you need the parish records, kept in the local church!. If you can't visit (I presume you live in the U!.S!.) you can get searching with http://www!.parishregister!.co!.uk/!.
In general they only have records back to 1500 but you might get some information & advice from them!.
you might be able to get some help from the English Clergy Association!.

I don't know quite where you would find records dating back that far!. The Parish records started in 1538 when Thomas Cromwell, the Vicar General to King Henry VIII, declared that all marriages, christenings and burials should be recorded!.

For reference in those times, you will have much searching to do as Wraxall covered many parishes in many towns e!.g: Bedminster, in the Hundred of Portbury which was 6!.5 miles from Bristol!.
Wraxall north was a parish of Chippenham in Wiltshire, which also included Calne in Wiltshire!.
WRAXALL, SOUTH, a tything, in the chapelry of Atworth, parish, union, and hundred of Bradford, Westbury and N!. divisions, and Trowbridge and Bradford subdivisions, of Wilts

WRAXALL, a hamlet, in the parish of Ditcheat, union of Shepton-Mallet, hundred of Whitestone, E!. division of Somerset

I have given a link regarding Wraxall, but there are many links taking you to many manors estates, and people!. also if you research on the site I have given a link to, by inputting Bristol, you will find sections on Knights templars etc!.
