I suggest that in the search boxes you enter simply Eric Ayres (in case he hasn't listed his second name) and to enter, Hampshire rather than Lymington, in case he has moved!.
You could then try adjacent Home Counties - he could have moved over a County Border!.
www!.Friends Reunited is another possibility, as is a letter to the Readers' Letters Column of the local newspaper asking if anyone knows his current whereabouts!.
Should you know his last address, a neighbour may have details of his new address!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
