If the person is dead, yes!. Google "SSDI"!.

If the person is alive, no!.

If you are a family member, the SSA will forward a letter to the address they have for the person!. That service is free!. If you are not a family member but there is a "large" amount of money involved, they will forward a letter for $25!. The address they have may be bad and the person is under no obligation to reply to the letter!.

Write if you'd like the link or Google "Social Security Administration letter forwardng"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

never heard that beforeWww@QuestionHome@Com

Without using the SSN try just using the name on classmates!.com
zabasearch!.com

You might get lucky!. Someone found me through zabasearch and I've found some people through classmates!.
On the other hand, there are some people I have not found so I've put classified ads on Craig's list and MySpace for them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have an ancestry subscription and can search for you if you like!. Just let me know the name and possible age!. I do not need to have the social security number!. You can email me at my user name at yahoo!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
