Question:i as adopted and have no family history, and as far as i have been able to see it is not common at least in the US. Please help

English (of Norman origin): occupational name from Old French tablier ‘joiner’.

This is from ancestry.com and it shows that most of the families with this last name are in Ohio, the next group was from Illionois, missouri, west virginia and a few from California.

I assume that Tabler is your adopted last name? In SOME CASES, if you are an adult, you might be able to learn who your birth parents were, and work from that. Not guaranteed. If this is not your adopted name.. then the valid way to do it, has to be by tracing the actual persons.
A surname is very minor to research, and the "origin" is not always limited to one location.
