Position:Home>Genealogy> Is your last name Mychael?

Question:My last name is Mychael, it is derived from the Carmichael clan in Scotland. I have never met anybody with the last name Mychael other than my immediate family and PaPa.

To my knowledge it was originally Michael but upon moving to Australia in the early 1800's it is now Mychael.

I live in Canada so that may be one reason why it is not popular.

I had a peep at a site in the USA, thinking there may be others with the same surname, but there wasn't anyone in the USA with the name as far as this site goes.

Then I did a search on www.192.com and was amazed to find two people with the surname (married to each other) here in England, sorry I could offer any more than that.

Nope - but it sure it nice to trace roots, isn't it?
