Help for my family tree?

Question:The information I am looking for is to find the names of my great great grandfather's parents.His name was James Kenvin,he was married to an Ann Thomas,They lived in a place called Trevethin in Pontypool in Gwent in South Wales.He was born in Garnderris in Monmouth in 1837.I have hit a brick wall,cannot get anymore info on him.Please Help.

This is the only James Kenvin I could find, there are a few Kenvins born in Trevethin, but no James.

In the 1851 Welsh census there's a 17 year old James Kenvin in Aberystruth. His father is also James Kenvin, stated to be 69 (but young James is said to be son). James snr is a nightwatchman born in Llangenarth, I think. Mother is Annah, 62.

From what i've found so far his mothers name was Mary Thomas
