I have a lot of ancestors with the last name "Peter" in my family tree. They are from Cornwall and Devon, England where it is a very common surname.

no

OMG it is. That was random. I was looking for a question to answer and this popped up. Nice question!

No, but my great grandfather was named Peter and my mothers 1st cousin is named Peter. He was also named after my great grandfather, who was his grandfather. I dated a guy named Peter in high school. Last I heard, he left Virginia and re-located to Columbus, Ohio. He is now a head chef in an upscale restaurant.

No. None of my brothers have that name, nor my uncles, grandparents, or such. However, one of my brothers had 3 sons and named one of them PETER!

no its not.and im sad cuz theres this song " theres a skeeter on my peter wack it off OHHHH theres a skeeter on my peter wack it off" ....and my mom thinks its HILARIOUS

No, but I currently know two men named Peter. I think it's one of those names that everyone thinks of as standard but that are actually pretty rare. Curiously, I've known quite a few men called Pete whose actual names were something totally different. Evidently the name was more popular in the past, since there are so many Peterses and Petersons around.
