on land that had been in an Indian District called Chichacoan, later to become Northumberland and then Westmoreland County.

**I looked this man up on www.ancestry.co.uk and followed his line forward, and the last one listed in the 1600's was this lady: ELIZABETH SANFORD-- F--b. 19 FEB 1645 in HARTFORD,CT. Her parents were ROBERT SANFORD
(Birth: 1 NOV 1615 ,S,ENGLAND; Death: JUN 1676 ,HARTFORD,CT. ) and ANN ADAMS (Birth: Abt 1624 ,ENGLAND ; Death: 12 JUL 1682 ,HARTFORD,CT. ). So, I'm not sure that the note above would be correct, especially since Robert Sandford lived in Virginia.
