Position:Home>Genealogy> Clifford V. Johnson three biggest accomplishments?

Question:Dr. Clifford V Johnson's research interests are mainly concerned with the development of theoretical tools for the description of the basic fabric of Nature. He is part of the international effort to understand and describe the origin of, and the fundamental constituents (and their interactions) of the Universe. He works mainly on superstring theory, quantum gravity, gauge theory, and M-theory, studying objects such as black holes and D-branes, using a variety of techniques from Mathematics and Physics.

1) As a Ph.D. student at the University of Southampton in the early nineties, Johnson, his advisor, and another student constructed a whole new family of mathematical models for string theory that are still used by physicists today.

2) His book on D - Branes

3) One day while chopping carrots Johnson thought of starting an annual event that would bring people together in Africa to talk about science. Finding donors to help fund the event himself, he founded the African Summer Theory Institute, which brings teachers, researchers, and students of all levels together for a month-long conference on a science topic—a different one every year—to discuss, to network, and, of couse, to learn. He engineered the first ASTI event in 2004 in Capetown, and is currently gathering funding for a second.

As this stuff is well over my head and VERY impressive I am only guessing as to these 3 accomplishments being the biggest, but they seem pretty big to me - this is one impressive guy :-)

Copying off someone's paper that they saved on the computer is not an option.
