Question:i am trying to find information on the above,i bought his death plaque medal some years ago,and i have drawn a blank there are 8 on the c.w.g.c,i have narrowed it down to 4,any info apreciated,thanks.

I've just tried the National Archives medal card index and got TWELVE William John Olivers. I guess eight died (and are on the CWGC site) and only four lived. That's a sobering statistic in itself.

Does the medal plaque not include his service number or regiment? I see four are in the Royal Field Artillery. Are those the four you have narrowed it down to?
