Question:mornington peninsula cemetary in victoria, australia

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: mornington peninsula cemetary in victoria, australia

I'd contact:
Rye Cemetery Trust. PO Box 754, Rye, Victoria 3941
Phone: (03) 5985 1343, Fax: (03) 59851128. I sure they'd have someone who knows the history of the cemeteries in the area. The Rye site with a partial list of internments is:
http://www.interment.net/data/aus/vic/mo...

It's only Wiki, but this article suggests that Flinders cememtery is older than the Rye.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flinders,_V...
"The town was named by George Bass after his friend, the explorer and British naval officer Captain Matthew Flinders. Settlement commenced in 1854 and many pioneers and settlers are buried at the Flinders cemetery."

happy hunting...

Have a look at the links posted below, I think the cemetery your interested in finding out about comes in the first three links. On the page where it says on line data this is an alphabetical list of all burials in the cemetery.
