Ogando is a name that shows up in records of almost every Hispanic country, including the Phillipines and South America. The PROBABILITY is that it originated in Spain.
Sarante (per the lds church) only seems to appear in the Dom. Republic.
You can almost always find places that have your name, but when it shows in many places, it can be impossible to determine the 'original".. and that is assuming there is even an "original" to start with. For Sarante, the obvious would be to follow the person(s) who have the name by birth, to see where they came from.
All of this does require actual research, and real records. And (as I usually do).. I suggest that your history is not just your name, but the persons who are in fact your ancestors.
If the name Oganda was in Spain, 500 yrs ago.. that really says nothing about YOU.

In order to find your ancestry you need to document your specific family -- parents, grandparents, etc. etc. Only by tracing them back as far as you can will you find your specific history.

For example: I've had companies contact me claiming that my name was German and that they had the full history of MY name for hundreds of years. Yes, some German people have the same last name, but that doesn't make MY lineage German. In fact, I've traced it back to Scotland in the 1600s.

If you need guidance on how to start researching your genealogy, try the links "How Do I Get Started?" and "Research Guidance" at familysearch.org.

PS I just checked and familysearch.org has microfilmed many original records for Dominica, including wills back to 1790. I'm sure that you'll be able to find records if your ancestors are from Dominica. Good luck!
