Apart from this being the most pointless thread I've seen in my life, im going to have to go with Cassidy.

sounds Butch to me ...

Cassidy. It's a real name, as opposed to Cassity.
People will be able to spell it first time.

hey, ive never heard of Cassity, i think its just the american spelling. Cassidy is a very irish name and as an irish person i think Cassity looks and sounds a bit weird yano? definately cassidy is better.

Cassidy

cassidy - and the point of this question??

Cassidy. I'm one of those people who gets turned off by creative spelling. To be honest, that's a big part of the reason that Johnny can't spell in this generation...everyone threw out the basics and left an entire generation confused and bewildered, thinking there are no fundamentals of spelling anymore. But that's just MHO FWIW.

Cassidy

I've never heard of Cassity so I'd go with Cassidy.

I'm with Doubleknavery, above; people are going to spell it "Cassidy" no matter how you have it on an official document. Take it from someone who had a peculiar last name while married - it's a PAIN to have to correct people constantly!!

Check out this genealogical web site before you decide particularly if you are a part of the Cassidy/Cassity clan:

Apparently, the original spelling of the name was "O Caiside".
