What's the ethinic background of people of Sicilia?

Krom is evidently quoting a dialog from a movie. A lot of people believe the theories of Nietzsche that the ancient Romans and Greeks were a fair blue eyed people. I have been told by people involved in archealogy that the ancient Greeks and Romans were pretty much the same type of people in Italy and Greece today. As the Roman empire declined, it was over run by Germanic tribes from the North and then the emperors were a blonde haired blue eyed type.

Genealogy DNA is up to now showing all people originated in Africa even Scandinavians.

I thought middle east countries occupied Sicily for six hundred years. giving them there olive skin. I know Many other groups occupied Sicily. They are a very beautiful and loving people today. Been there twice and would go tomorrow if I could

i'm not positive but in about 800 BCE the Greeks and phoenecians (which are people who were East of Isreal who formed from Syrians and Palestines at the same time that the isrealites were forming their empire) so they fought over it and then the Phoencians took it in like mid 300 BCE. but that's literally ancient history. They could be anything, depending on how far you would like to go back. But most likely now they are italian

The correct answer is that Sicilians are ethnic Greeks but over centuries the population has been added to by various races including ethnic Italians and Africans and many others. It is very complicated but you can find out more at this link.

They are of Latin descent, just as the Spanish, french, Italianos, Portuguese and so on. True there has been much invasion over the leaps of time from other ethnic groups but for the most part they are Latin. They are just as any other Latin descents having the dark features. I We have plenty of Italian and Sicilian descendants in my neighborhood here. They look alike. I have mostly spanish (from Spain) and french in my blood line. My family looks alot like the Dicapo family down the road. Most likely because of the latin origin.
Much of the latin origin in history many years ago have been influenced by the middle east. As for as african descent it is quite possible but not from the southern africans. They tend to be very different from every other race and even mixed offspring show strong traits other than skin pigmentation. I know several albino blacks and they are white skinned but their traits look like a black african.
Natives in south america on the equator do not look at all like natives from african equator.
No harm intended but native africans have a different body structure and more of an ape like feature. We don't see that with other races. Note shape of head, nostrils, long arms, high buttox, larger mouth, huge square teeth, are typically strong for their size, naturally musculer and athletic . I'm not being stupido I'm just stating the facts. We might have all come from africa in the beginng but I think the black africans are the original physically efficiant humans and the rest of us are the product of natures experiments with evolution.

they are Italian but like all Italians they identify themselves by the region from which they come from--I think that goes back to the times of ancient Rome
