Why am I so short?

Question:i am the shortest person in my class and I hate being teased, like when people call me a midget. Also, I know its not genes because both of my parents were tall and so was my grandfather. The only people that are short in my family is my great aunts, but don't you think I would get more of the genes from my mom and dad, than my great aunts?

Look good things comes in small packages for example
Rings are small and come in small packages
pearls come in a small packages
Credit cards comes in small packages.
And regarding your family genes don't worry it rare that you are one of the shorties person in your family but think it as you are the youngest and they will always treat you as there little princess you good things come ahead.

its the same reason that im so tall im the tallest person that i know and i hate when people make fun of me for it too!!!

maybe your have a growth spurt soon if your parents are tall then you got every chance of being tall you may have your grandfather genes

Sometimes heriditory genes skip a generation but you should not mind being short because you can go places and do things that a larger person cannot. You will not be teased if your shortness doesn't bother you. Think of Danny DeVito the actor; he never played short people, he played just people.

Check this one out. I am 5'9 and I have 3 children . I have a daughter that is 18,she is 5'1 and has been that since she was about 13. So I think she's done growing.

My 15 year old son is 6'6 and hes still growing.
And last but not least is the baby who is 11 she is 5'5.

It doesn't matter if you are short, what matters most is your personality.

milan, it is easy to say "don't worry" but I don't think that is completely valid. If the majority of family members are tall, and you are EXTRA short, something may be going on. There are Drs who specialize in this, and do a good investigation of all the concerns, before deciding if there may be a hormone issue, or something you need to wait out. And yes.. it is also possible to be simply oversensitive.
Some persons do have medical issues that affect growth. Talk to your parents, and if they agree, you might ask them to schedule at least a consultation with a growth specialist.
