Position:Home>Genealogy> Can white people have olive skin?

Question:Like my ancestors where from Spain. My mom's side is more pure, but my dad's side looks like they came more from southern spain but i look both like my parents.

Like my skin is white in the winter but tan in the summer. Is only pale skin associated with being purely white?

Definately yes and its usually due to your inherited genes. My Husband has an olive complextion, I have white. My 3 children have an olive complextion. Definately get that from their father.

Lots of people who are considered 'white' or 'caucasian' have olive skin. Lots of Europeans do (Italians, for example). You may be white, but you might have an olive complexion.

My friend's ancestors come from Spain, and almost her whole family has blonde hair and blue eyes and pale skin.

Hope that helps!
