Throughout his entire life, Andy continued do appearances for charity. He was active in the following charities/causes: Muscular Dystrophy, Juvenile Diabetes, March of Dimes, the Humane Society and numerous others (if you know of more please email me and I will add it here *** Thanks***).

After taking time to reassess his life, Andy fulfilled a life long dream by learning how to fly an airplane in 1987. Then he embarked on the path to reawaken his music career. He got together with his brothers Barry and Maurice and wrote some new songs. The demonstration tapes of these songs garnered Andy a new record deal with Island Records in England. Andy was in England during early 1988 writing more songs for this album when he fell ill. Andy was admitted to the John Radeliffe Hospital in Oxford on Monday, March 7 with stomach pains. His star-crossed-life ended on March 10, 1988 when Andy expired from viral myocarditis.

Andy Gibb will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who was amazingly talented. His life may have been cut short, but his voice will continue to sing for eternity.

As for Dean Paul Martin just finding the basics also.
Dean Paul Martin (November 17, 1951 – March 21, 1987) was an American singer and actor.

The son of the performer Dean Martin, he was "Dino" in the pop group Dino, Desi, & Billy. He was only thirteen when he, Desi Arnaz Jr., and William "Billy" Hinsche formed the trio. Oriented toward teenage girls, the group had a few minor hits between 1965 and 1968, landing in the Top 30 twice.

Martin later began to go by his given name Dean Paul instead of the nickname "Dino". He became a successful tennis player and actor. He appeared in the 1979 film Players, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award as Best New Star of the Year — Male, and later starred in the TV series Misfits of Science which aired during the 1985-1986 television season.

Martin was also an avid pilot. He obtained his pilot's license at age 16 and earned his wings with the California Air National Guard in 1981.

Martin met an untimely death in 1987 when his National Guard F-4 Phantom fighter jet crashed in California's San Bernardino Mountains during a snowstorm, killing him and his WSO (Weapons Systems Officer), Ramon Ortiz. The singer Dean Martin never recovered from the loss of his son, retiring from show business a few years later.

Dean Paul Martin was the former husband of both actress Olivia Hussey and Olympic skating gold medalist Dorothy Hamill. Martin's twelve-year-old son, Alexander, had watched his father take off on the ill-fated flight.

He is buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery, a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs cemetery in Los Angeles, California.

You MAY find a bit more info if you look under the Bee Gees or Brothers Gibb (first name of the band, prior to becoming Bee Gees) for Andy Gibb info. Man, that family has taken some serious hits over the years. Very sad.

If you're looking for lineage, it's not likely you'll find it. That sort of thing is kept private unless someone within the family posts the geneology. I've found (actually, accidentally) a family line of one famous person, but I tried for kicks to find a few others, and it's darn near impossible. God knows they don't want people crawling out of the woodwork, claiming they're a distant relative, you know?

I knew Mr. Gibb. I was his neighbor back in the '70's. The family requests not to have his info. out there. May he rest in peace...

I believe that Dean Paul Martin was a jet pilot in the Air Force Reserve or Air National Guard and was killed at a relatively young age.

If I recall correctly, he lost control of his aircraft while on a training mission and flew into the side of a mountain in one of the western states.

His father, Dean Martin, was devastated.

Dean Paul Martin was the son of Dean Martin. I believe he sang with the group Dino, Desi and Billie. He married Olympic Figure Skater Dorothy Hammill and I believed they were divorced. He was in the Air Force Reserves where while on a training flight his plane crashed into a mountain and he was killed.

Heres a link to both graves, there is a short bio about them both as well,
