The name Foreman first appeared in Scotland in the Midloathin District in the 13th Century. It is a lowland family and so isn't connected with a clan

Flanagan is from the Ulster County of Ireland. It was probably displaced by the English plantation owners and forced south from there.

Interesting. My last name is different than this name, but my fathers mothers maiden name is Brickman.
