Question:huh??
Movies are movies. There is no obligation or effort to be "accurate" ... its called creative license. Anyone or anything can be stereotyped, or even created.

It is the case for many other nationalities. It's called stereotyping.

Blame Hollywood Stereotyping for giving a false Impression .Just look at the way they Portray Irish and Swedish and anybody else.

Often there's a grain of truth in most stereotypes: tough guy Italian immigrants were/ are sometimes associated with the mob. The same question could be asked about any given population; for instance, I'm a Texan, but the only time I've been on a horse was at summer camp.

Sorry, The whole question has no, substance to being accurate. I have met many Italians who I have found to be superb, generous, and very kind to children.
But those are the ones I have met, of course there are others, just as in every race, and creed, that are not, so generous, or indeed kind to children,To stereotype any race is totally wrong.

Do you mean American movies or Italian movies?

ALL people are pictured different from real ones in the movies.

Most Chinese do not know Kung Fu.
Most Californians live far from the beach.
Farmers do not say "Yup".
Police officers don't shoot their guns more than once or twice a year.
Most helicopters fly just fine, without exploding.
Most Mexicans are not simple peasants. Most are not drug dealers, either.
