Found a bunch of submitted genealogies that are pretty much exactly the same - most give his birth as Ireland. However, he does exist in the 1870 census in Lunny, Darlington, SC and in that census, Axom declared his place of birth as South Carolina. So I would question the accuracy of the records of anyone giving a birth place of Ireland. Ancestry.com has several census' for that family. I'll email you the information once I load it. There's also some discussions going on about that family: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.no... and http://genforum.genealogy.com/oneal/all.... |
