Anyone out there live in Pike County Kansas? If so, do you know of an old house

Question:Walters family? It would be an old house and the person Zacharia or Zachary Walters who lived there was born in 1803. The house could be on Hurricane Creek, Coal Run. I can't find a grave for Zachariah and his wife Margaret "Peggy" Owens Walters. I have searched in every database that I can on the internet including Ancestry and I can
not find their graves. Maybe they are just unmarked graves. Any suggestions?

here is a list of cemeteries in Pike co, KENTUCKY. At least one rootsweb file claims that he was living still in 1880.
I can't confirm that the cemetery list has all cemeteries in the county. One of the most productive things for me (anywhere) is a in depth check of land records. Unfortunately, these are very seldom online. If he owned land (most families did), you can use the land records to work when they came, and often, when they died. If land went to heirs, they may sell it down the line.
The genweb page looks fairly decent. They might be able to dertermine if the house still exists (I am skeptical on that, but who knows?) Decent topo maps will also locate the creek.

There is a Walters Road just outside of Pikeville, Pike County, KENTUCKY.

Looking at the census, the district was 95 which included the clay township including villages of genoa and martin.

It doesn't seem to be that big of an area. I would imagine there are only a few churches, maybe a "city" cemetery.

I wasn't able to find much as far as grave transcriptions for this area. You might have to go there yourself and search or find someone on UsGenWeb or RootsWeb who has volunteered for that area.
