I can't stand the name Mildred. It's soooo 17th-18th century. Unfortunately, people in the 21st century still name their children this (as if it's cute). It's a tragedy!!!!

There is a reason that all the Mildreds I've known go by "Milly" and all the Dorises went by "Dorie."

Sequoia's are trees, but I'd prefer it to the other two.

I think Hortense is worse than the ones you listed or Helga. I think compared to those two, Doris and Mildred don't look so bad.

the worst one I know of, was (sadly) my kid's gr grandmother, who was named Turpie Annie. Turpie was derived from Turpin, an old family surname.
